Novelty 2026: The first special design was introduced in 1965 with V 180 059, featuring a new design concept with roof and front wall sections made of fiberglass-reinforced polyester and glare-free front windows with steeply inclined panes. In addition to a long-term test of the usability of plastics, the goal was also to create a more attractive appearance.In 1966, two more locomotives with fiberglass-reinforced polyester cabs followed. The model represents the V200 1001 of the DR in Era III as a Leipzig trade fair locomotive. The locomotive comes factory-equipped with a modern PSD XP decoder with sound and numerous functions.
