Novelty 2026: The first special design was presented in 1965 with V 180 059 in a new design concept featuring roof and front wall sections made of fiberglass-reinforced polyester and glare-free front windows with steeply inclined front panes. In addition to a long-term test of the usability of plastics, the aim was also to achieve a more attractive appearance.In 1966, two more locomotives with fiberglass-reinforced polyester cabs followed. The model represents the V200 1001 of the DR in Era III as a Leipzig trade fair locomotive. The locomotive can be easily retrofitted with a PluX22 decoder.
