Novelty 2025: The class E94 locomotives built from 1940 onwards were nicknamed the ‘German Crocodile’ due to their green colouring: Only the 194 178 was painted in the new ocean blue/beige DB colour scheme in 1974 and was given the nickname ‘Blue Mauritius’.
