At the beginning of the 20th century, chemists at Henkel developed a new self-acting detergent that was launched on the market under the name "Persil". In 1922, the Berlin painter Kurt Heiligenstaedt created the famous "White Lady", which from then on dominated Persil advertising. For the transport of raw materials between the plants and Düsseldorf, container wagons were used, but also covered freight wagons. The latter were also used to remove the finished products. To increase awareness, some G-cars of the association design were also painted green and advertised with the logo of the world brand "Persil".
