Marklin/Trix/LGB unveil their 2024 Fall New Items campaign.

They have launched quite a number of new items and we will briefly touch on a few highlights for each;

Marklin/Trix

• The front page of the Fall Items brochure features the previously announced Surprise Locomotive # 2 which has already been covered.
• This year is the 17th MHI membership meeting being held on September 27th. A special version of the VT 92.5 Salon Powered Railcar in a special blue livery. # 39698
• The Class 86 steam locomotive in the DR version is completely new tooling and be seen pushing the Henschel Design Rotary Snowplow. # 37087 / # 49970. In Trix, # 25087 and # 24137.
• This year marks the 125-Year Anniversary of the Nurnberg Transportation Museum. Marklin is therefore producing the S2/6 in the Era 1 Royal Bavarian State Railway, green livery. # 38015 and in Trix # 25015.
• The Flying Scotsman in Black. With last year’s incredible success of the Flying Scotsman in green livery, Marklin is now offering this beautiful locomotive in a black-livery which followed after WWII and for several years afterwards. Last year’s Marklin version sold out quite quickly and this will no doubt do the same. Marklin # 39969 and Trix # 22885.
• In Z Scale Marklin is producing the E10.12 in a blue/crème livery pulling 2 sets of 3 Rheingold passenger coaches. Stock # 88415; # 87266 and # 87284.
• In MiniTrix, the DRG version of the 18.5 Steam Locomotive in blue livery stock # 16189 with matching coaches # 15324; # 15325 and baggage coach # 15323 will make for a beautiful train for N scale modellers.
• In LGB, a new RhB Ge 4/4 II Electric locomotive has yet to be unveiled. We’re hoping to see the final pictures soon but for now, one of the highlights are “Digitally controlled pantographs”. # 28448
• The ever-popular RhB Alpine Classic Pullman Express have an additional 2 piece-coach set # 36659 and a new baggage coach # 40844. These fit perfectly to the 36658 set previously announced and a few are still available for ordering.
