MARKLIN INSIDER FRANCO-CROSTI UPDATE

Marklin has made some important changes to the release of the Insider "Franco-Crosti" Locomotive. The text below is from the Marklin USA website. We are currently closed for the holidays but will be available after January 9th if you have any questions about this announcement.

A Message to Club members from Gebr. M�rklin & Cie. GmbH regarding the Insider H0 Franco Crosti Locomotive #39160 We would like to inform you about an important change concerning our model of the Franco Crosti class 42.90. We have learned from new information sources about the prototype locomotive that the design chosen by us for a model was originally painted in an "iron gray" color (German color system no. RAL 7011). It was not until later that the Franco Crosti locomotives were painted black with red wheels and equipped with smoke deflectors. On the basis of this new information we have decided to change the color of our model in order to offer you an absolutely true to the prototype model and above all the model of the only German Federal Railroad locomotive to be painted gray.

Of course, with this change, you have the option of canceling your order. If you wish to do this, please contact your dealer immediately. We hope, however, you can appreciate the background against which we were prompted to make this change and you will not cancel your order. At the same time we would like to point out that the wrong delivery date was printed in the catalog for the model of the Franco Crosti. Delivery is planned for the 1st quarter of 2002, as printed in the Insider magazine and on the original order form.
