Marklin & Trix Announce the Second Insider/Profi Club Model for 2021, the VT92

Marklin and Trix have announced the 2nd Insider Club Model for 2021, the one-off DB VT92 diesel railcar under Marklin 39692 (also available for Trix Profi Club as T25692). A typical passenger car set will also be available under Marklin 41327.

An interesting model, this locomotive (railcar?) was a one off production to evaluate the ' egghead' design and propulsion systems that would eventually end up on the later VT08 and VT12.5 diesel railcar trains.  It was used to pull some fast trains when neccessary and later ended up as a DB work vehicle in Nuremberg and has been saved from scrap by a group trying to refurbish it.
