MARKLIN 2004 INSIDER Models Announced

Marklin has released details of the new 2004 Insider Models in HO and Z Scale. These models are not yet available for ordering but Insider club members will be receiving their order forms in the new year. Marklin 88290 Z-Scale 2004 Insider Model - Bavarian Gt 2x4/4 Steam Locomotive

Model: Heavy goods train locomotive Gt 2x4/4 of the Bavaria administration group of the German National Railroad (DRG). Model as seen at the traffic exhibitions 1924 in Seddin and 1925 in Munich. Locomotive with 5-pole mini club engine. All axles powered. Lighting with maintenance-free light emitting diodes. Minimum radius 145 mm. Length over buffer 81 mm. Unique series only for Insider members.

Highlights: Completely new construction, all 8 axles powered - once strongest tender locomotive of Europe - steel-blue livery from 1924/1925.

Marklin 37050 HO 2004 Insider Model - DRG Class 05 Streamlined Steam Locomotive

Model: Schnellzuglokomotive series 05 of the German National Railroad (DRG). Execution with full fairing. With digital decoder, regulated drive and sound system. 3 axles powered with two traction tires. Standard radius 360 mm possible. Lighting with maintenance-free bright light emitting diodes. Sound effects with wheel-synchronous steam locomotive driving noise, locomotive whistle as well as starting and brake delay with control unit 6021 digitally adjustably. Tender made of metal. Fixed coupling between locomotive and tender. Length over buffer 30.7 cm. The locomotive 37050 is manufactured in a unique series only for Insider members.

Highlight: Completely new model of the locomotive capturing the world record of 1936: 200.4 km/h - boilers, aprons of the locomotive and the tender box made of metal - tender cover to open - steam locomotive driving noise and whistle.
