Marklin/TRIX have announced a 2-rail DC version of Marklin's fantastic C-Track system. Details are a little sketchy at this point but we do know that the new track system is almost identical to 3-Rail C-Track with the exception of the missing center studs. The track is Code 83 and compatible with NEM and RP 25 wheelsets. As an introduction to the new track system, TRIX has announced a new starter set, complete with a BR185 locomotive, two freight cars, and an oval of the new track.
UPDATE - The new Trix starter sets have been produced in very low quantities (less than a thousand world-wide). As always we have been able to bring in a few of these special sets for our customers! Order early, these highly collectible sets will disappear quick.
The word from the factory is that the full 'T-track' program will be announced at the Toy Fair in February, including R1 through R3 curves and the associated straights, crossings, and turnouts. Large radius turnouts and curves will follow in 2006.
