Marklin has confirmed that the Marklin Systems 60212 Central Station release will be delayed until the 3rd or 4th quarter of 2005.
As announced in 2004 the Central Station (using the new MFX protocol) would not be compatible with previously released Marklin Digital boosters and users would have to replace their older units with the new Marklin Systems boosters in order to use the Central Station and the MFX protocol on their layouts. Feedback from customers and dealers has led Marklin to re-work the Central Station hardware so that it will be compatible with customer's existing Marklin Digital boosters.
It is unfortunate that the Central Station release will be delayed further as we know many of you have been anticipating its release, however the changes Marklin is making will ensure that Marklin fans with larger layouts will not have to replace their boosters in order to use the Central Station and MFX.
