Marklin has announced a new assortment of locomotive decoders and motor conversion kits designed to upgrade HO locomotives from both Marklin and Trix.
The new mLD and mSD decoders are Marklin Motorola, MFX and DCC compatible. The mSD sound decoders come in varients for generic steam, diesel and electric locomotives as well as special versions to add sound to HOBBY locomotives. One version has a circuit board with a connector, and one version has wires soldered to it for locomotives with limited installation space. Both versions are available with and without sound.
The new motor conversion kits can be used to markedly improve the running characteristics of many older analog/Delta locomotives.
All decoders and conversion kits will be available in the 3rd quarter of 2011. Pricing will be posted shortly.
