VOLLMER Production & Arrivals again!

Earlier this year, Model Railway customers were saddened by the fact that the Vollmer Gmbh. Factory closed there operations officially on June 30th. Then, the scramble was on to get your favorite Vollmer kits before they we're no longer to be had. A short while later, the Viessmann Company announced their purchase of the former Vollmer tooling and reassured their dealers and the market that they would begin production again, of the majority of the Vollmer building kit line. This was welcome news!

It took some time to organize themselves to incorporate the Vollmer tooling, stock, logistical and administrative issues involved with this undertaking, but we have finally begun to receive regular Vollmer shipments again.

The one major change that consumers will notice is that the old Vollmer # has been prefixed by the digit "4" and that was simply a database issue for the Viessmann company. The actual box will still contain the former 4 digit number that everyone is use too.

In summary, consumers can now feel free to order and backorder Vollmer kits again. We have a terrific stock level of Vollmer and what we do not have is available for ordering.
